Blues@School is a project launched by the Blues Foundation (Memphis, USA) and is gradually being adopted in Europe. As part of the project, internationally renowned artists from the international blues scene go to selected schools to teach kids about the blues and related topics.
In Schleswig-Holstein and Hamburg, the project has been carried out with great success since May 2008 as part of the BluesBaltica Eutin. Since 2008, Blues@School has been carried out with great success by Baltic Blues e.V. at over 30 schools in the districts of Stormarn, Plön, Ostholstein and in Hamburg.
On average, 200 kids participated with great enthusiasm in the respective projects – in total, well over 5000! We would like to thank the schools, the musicians and our sponsors, without whom this extremely successful project would not be possible. In 2012 a TV video of the project Blues@School was filmed.
